Our Focus

We have focused our attention on reducing
our impact in five key areas with
long-term objectives and goals.

Plastics

We are committed to removing single-use plastics from hotels by the end of 2025.

2025 Goals:
• 85% of properties eliminate all identified single-use plastic items
• 13% of properties reliably report their waste in our internal ESG reporting platform
• 75% of properties have refillable dispensers for wet amenities

What we’ve achieved so far:
In 2024,
• 77% of hotels removed or replaced 60 identified single-use plastic items from the guest experience and back-of-house operations

Carbon & Water

We are committed to contributing to a net-zero world by 2050 and reducing water consumption.

2025 Goals:
• 7% energy intensity reduction vs our 2023 consumption
• 4% water intensity reduction vs our 2024 consumption
• 70% of properties measure energy & water data in our internal ESG reporting platform
• 55% answer rate for our annual Scope 3 survey
• 35% of hotels compliant with new water flow rate technical standards

What we’ve achieved so far:
In 2024,
• 89% of our hotels measured their energy consumption
• 85% measured their water consumption
• a collective 5% energy intensity reduction vs. our 2023 baseline.

Eco-labels

We are committed to all Ennismore hotels being being third-party eco-certified by the end of 2026.

2025 Goal:
• Minimum 55% of hotels to be third-party eco-certified

What we’ve achieved so far:
In 2024,
• We set ourselves the target of 30% of our hotels to be third-party eco-certified. We exceeded this with 50% of our hotels attaining third-party eco-certification

Food Sustainability

We are committed to reducing our food waste by 60% by 2030.

2025 Goals:
• 10% food waste reduction vs. 2024
• 60% of hotels to have defined their food waste baseline
• 10% of hotels to measure the carbon impact of their menus
• 11% of hotels to have a minimum of 25% vegetarian dishes in their menus
• All hotels to purchase cage-free eggs

What we’ve achieved so far:
In 2024,
• 57% of our hotels have established a food waste baseline
• 49 participating hotels had the target of reducing their food waste by 10% vs. their 2023 baseline. This was exceeded with an average food waste reduction of 33%.

Social

We are committed to promoting equal representation in leadership, charitable initiatives and combatting exploitation.

2025 Goals:
• 100% of managed hotels to have an on-property ESG Committee who meet monthly
• 85% of Home Base team members and managed hotel GMs to complete sustainability and human rights training

What we’ve achieved so far:
In 2024,
• 92% of managed hotels established an on property ESG Committee and held monthly meetings
• 100% of Home Base team members and 90% of managed hotel GMs completed mandatory sustainability training
