From Hyde Bodrum to 25hours Copenhagen Paper Island, Rixos Ras Al Khaimah to Mama Shelter Nice and Hyde Johannesburg, these new openings offer locals and travellers exceptional experiences to truly immerse themselves. Here are some of our most exciting openings of 2024:

Kicking off our year of openings, The Hoxton, Vienna, promised something completely new for locals when it opened in the city in April. Set in a marble-clad Modernist landmark building, the expansive, light-filled double-height lobby is framed by the original travertine-clad walls and terrazzo flooring and dressed with ruby red sofas, statement 1950s-inspired armchairs and lush greenery makes a statement on arrival. Its 196 homely bedrooms, Cuban-inspired rooftop bar with unbeatable city views, glistening pool, French-by-way-of-New-York bistro, basement cocktail bar, and the brand’s grandest event space to date, The Auditorium, shook things up in the city.

Over in London, Hyde brought its electrifying energy to London for the first time. Spanning seven storeys, Hyde London boasts 111 stylish guest rooms, evoking a sense of exploration with a nod to the architectural heritage of the building, originally built in 1874. On the ground floor, guests will find Leydi, the critically acclaimed restaurant bringing Istanbul’s vibrant flavours and all-day dining culture to the heart of London. As night falls, the action shifts underground to Black Lacquer, an intimate space inspired by Japanese vinyl bars and dedicated to a love of music – a subtle nod to Hyde’s origins on the LA club scene.

Also making its debut in a new city, Delano Dubai introduced a fresh hotel and resort experience, underscored by a singular blend of social magnetism and chic elegance. Reimagining the signatures of the Miami original that captivated the world and redefined luxury hospitality thirty years ago, the hotel features 251 guest rooms, including 84 spectacular suites, all designed in Delano’s signature, sublimely understated style. The six distinct restaurants and bars are bringing something entirely unique to the city’s dining and mixology scene and establishing the hotel as a veritable social hub, including a reawakened Rose Bar and the return of the legendary Blue Door restaurant.
