Round up: Ennismore’s Signings Announced in 2023
This year, we announced some incredible new projects – and two ground-breaking standalone branded residences in Dubai (a first for both brands in the city). There is a lot to look forward to in the coming years as we expand our footprint in the world’s most exciting cities and to new destinations.
As we come to the end of the year, here’s a round-up of some of the signings we’ve announced this year.
In the Middle East, we’ve announced a whooping six hotels & branded residences. Making its mark in the region in Doha, Mondrian’s oversized imagination is set to arrive in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh. In the middle of the buzzing city centre, Mondrian Abu Dhabi’s chic crystal-clear lagoon is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail in the sun, whilst Mondrian Riyadh Al Malga will pioneer innovative culinary and mixology experiences with three new restaurants and lounges by Ennismore’s in-house F&B concept studio, Carte Blanched.
Making a splash this year with the opening of SO/ Uptown Dubai, SO/ will make its stylish debut in Jeddah with SO/ Hotel & Residence, Jeddah Tahlia. Adding heat to the city’s gastronomic scene, the hotel also brings five new dining destinations, including an elevated surf and turf on the roof terrace with breathtaking views over the city’s skyline that’s set to be one of Jeddah’s go-to destinations.
Two first standalone residences also head to Dubai. SLS Residences at Palm Jumeirah enjoys direct and exclusive beach access and impressive 360-degree sea views extending to the Downtown Dubai skyline and Dubai Marina, whilst 25hours Heimat Dubai will redefine the notion of urban living with a range of distinctive amenities from a podcast studio, mini golf, observatory, and more.
Making our very first appearance in Africa, Mama Shelter is headed to Casablanca. Offering an urban experience in harmony with the city’s dynamism, Mama Shelter Saray Casablanca is set to be amongst the most festive and trendy establishments in Morocco with Mama’s unique sassy and flamboyant interiors, her signature menu of homemade favourites and an ambitious entertainment calendar.
Set to make its first appearances in Asia, 25hours Hotels will open Jakarta. 25hours Hotel The Oddbird is a paradise of paradoxes. In their signature quirky and elaborate style, guests can expect a colourful and lush experience with workspaces for urban nomads, a vanity fair for odd birds, and a starting point for expeditions in the city.
Next up, Hyde will set to bring its signature festival feeling to Australia for the first time in 2024. Hyde Perth will feature 120 bohemian chic guest rooms and 18 spacious suites to socialise and recharge, innovative dining concepts that present a global table of flavours and a playful beach club ambience Drawing inspiration from Western Australia’s rich palette of colours and influences, the hotel will be designed to create connection, with endless sofas in the lobby and long tables that encourage conversation.
In North America, Miami will see the return of the original Delano Miami in the city’s iconic South Beach, as part of a partnership with Cain International. Having spearheaded a golden era for hospitality in Miami and set the tone for lifestyle and leisure concepts worldwide, we’re marking the new chapter of Delano in the place where it was incepted. Additionally, Los Angeles will welcome a second Mama Shelter. A place to live life to the fullest, Mama Shelter Downtown Los Angeles will transform the existing Mart South Building to boast 149 keys in her signature sassy and flamboyant style. Heading South, the coastal Bohemian town of Tulum, Mexico, will see the arrival of Mondrian and JO&JOE. Mondrian Tulum – the second Mondrian in Mexico – will be the place to see and be seen, diving headfirst into forward-thinking cultural programming.
Finally, two new Immersive resorts will join the Ennismore Collective with the signings of Hyde Bodrum and Rixos Dubai Islands. Located between the sparking turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea and the stunning national parks of the Bodrum Peninsula, Hyde Bodrum – where new music, memorable experiences and new ideas come together in a sunny, hazy blend – will be the brand’s first all-inclusive destination. The stunning coastline of Dubai Islands is set to become home to Rixos Hotels & Residences, Dubai Islands, set back in a secluded cove, offers direct access to a 700-metre beach and a curated and relaxed setting.
